 The San Francisco 49ers announced Thursday that they have signed fourth-round draft pick DT Joe Cohen (Florida).
Cohen (6-2, 315) played in 46 career games with 33 starts for the Gators. He posted 69 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception in his career. Originally recruited as a fullback, Cohen transitioned to the defensive end position in his sophomore season. He started on the defensive line in the Gators’ BCS National Championship Game victory over Ohio State.
With the signing of LB Jay Moore earlier in the week, the 49ers now have two of their nine draft picks signed.
